The Deutsche Stiftung Tinnitus & Hören Charité aims to strengthen the understanding of tinnitus and hearing health through well-founded research funding, visible science communication, and practical education, to scientifically advance the causes and treatment options, and to provide sustainable support and preventive measures for those affected.

The funding programs are aimed at early-career researchers in Europe (PhD holders up to a maximum of three years post-habilitation) conducting innovative work on the causes, early detection, and therapy of tinnitus and hearing damage; at affected individuals, relatives, and interested parties seeking information on prevention strategies, therapy options, and hearing protection; as well as at educators, nursing staff, and companies wishing to implement hearing protection and awareness measures within their institutions.
