About the funder
GLS Treuhand e.V. is a non-profit association based in Bochum that has been bringing together people and initiatives as a trustee for over 60 years. It manages and administers foundations and foundation funds, advises donors and benefactors in all phases of establishment, asset management, and estate planning, and enables 800–1,000 projects annually with a volume of 18–20 million euros in social, ecological, and cultural fields through the collected "donation money." As part of the GLS Group, it views money as a social instrument for shaping society and acts as an intermediary between private wealth and non-profit initiatives.

We encourage and empower people to engage in an active, democratic, and open society. We mediate between individuals who wish to donate money and initiatives in need of funding.
Target groups
GLS Treuhand targets donors and benefactors who wish to achieve social impact through foundations, donations, or bequests; non-profit initiatives and associations that require financial resources as well as advice and support in project implementation and grant applications; and students and trainees who want to access time-limited loans (study funding) under the aspect of social sustainability.
