Hans-Beutz-Stiftung für Verdienste um Erziehung und Bildung im Ems-Jade-Gebiet

The Hans-Beutz Foundation for Services to Education and Training is a legally recognized foundation under civil law, based in Aurich. Established by the foundation charter of 1972 and officially approved in 1990, it is dedicated to promoting the school and educational system in the Ems-Jade region. A key instrument is the biennial awarding of the Hans-Beutz Prize, currently amounting to €5,000, to individuals, educational institutions, or projects that have selflessly contributed to the improvement of education and training. Additionally, the foundation may grant scholarships to support the studies of young people, provided sufficient income is available.

The Hans Beutz Foundation promotes educational equity in the Ems-Jade region as a prerequisite for equal quality of life and sustainable regional development. It honors and supports initiatives that advance education and upbringing in innovative and effective ways, thereby contributing to equal opportunities for all population groups.

The funding opportunities are aimed at individuals and personalities who have distinguished themselves in theory or practice in education and upbringing, at educational institutions and non-profit initiatives in the Ems-Jade region, as well as at projects promoting democracy, adult education, and the improvement of school structures.
