Hildesheimer Sport Stiftung

The Hildesheimer Sport Stiftung was established in recognition of the great importance of sports for society, especially for children and young people. The City Council of Hildesheim resolved to establish the foundation, which was constituted with effect from January 1, 2013. The foundation is non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational. Its primary purpose is the promotion of sports in the city of Hildesheim. It supports tax-privileged sports clubs, sports associations, activities of universities of applied sciences and universities in Hildesheim, as well as initiatives fostering cooperation between schools and sports clubs. Special projects in club work, particularly in youth and senior sports, are promoted. The foundation is open to sports enthusiasts and sports-affiliated companies who appreciate the value of sports for a healthy, intact society.
