About the funder

JUGEND für Europa is the National Agency for the EU programmes Erasmus+ Youth, Erasmus+ Sport, and the European Solidarity Corps in Germany. The organization has been commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and the European Commission to implement these programmes in accordance with the guidelines. The main tasks include the financial support of European projects in the fields of youth and sport, the further development of youth work, and the support of youth policy cooperation in Europe. JUGEND für Europa is the largest promoter of European and international youth work in Germany.

Mission & Vision

JUGEND für Europa is committed to the implementation of the EU programs Erasmus+ Youth, Erasmus+ Sport, and the European Solidarity Corps in Germany. The organization promotes European youth exchanges, youth initiatives, and training measures for professionals. Its goal is to strengthen the participation of young people in civil society and democratic life in Europe and to improve the quality of youth work from the local to the European level.

Target groups

The funding programs of JUGEND für Europa are aimed at young people and youth work professionals in Germany. The programs place a strong emphasis on inclusion and diversity, participation and civic engagement, sustainability, environmental and nature conservation, as well as digital transformation. The goal is to support youth policy cooperation at the European level and to contribute to the further development of youth work and youth welfare in Europe.
