About the funder
The Juist Foundation is a non-profit, denominationally and politically independent community foundation established in 2006. It pursues a broad foundation purpose on the island of Juist and is active in the fields of education, upbringing, youth and elderly care, culture, art and monument preservation, science and research, environmental and nature conservation, local heritage, health, sports, as well as charitable and church-related causes. Since its inception, it has supported both local clubs and institutions as well as its own projects serving the community, and regularly receives the quality seal from the Federal Association of German Foundations for its work.

Mission & Vision
"We for Juist": The Juist Foundation sees itself as part of the community and aims to strengthen the common good on the island with fresh momentum. It is committed to actively involving Juist citizens in projects and collaboratively realizing initiatives in culture, education, environmental and heritage conservation, as well as sports. Politically and denominationally independent, it promotes civic engagement and contributes to the sustainable development of the island.
Target groups
Organizations, associations, initiatives, and individuals on the island of Juist are supported, provided their projects serve the Juist community. The target group includes all citizens who wish to engage in the statutory areas, particularly in the fields of education and upbringing, youth and elderly care, culture, environmental and nature conservation, local heritage preservation, as well as health and sports. The foundation places great importance on cooperative project implementation with local partners and the active participation of the island’s population.
