Mission & Vision

kubia promotes equal cultural activity and participation of people with diverse backgrounds and life circumstances. We believe that cultural education and creative activities in old age make a decisive contribution to quality of life, social participation, and an inclusive society. Through consulting, further training, research, and funding, we aim to establish innovative formats and sustainable networks for culture and aging.

Target groups

kubia is aimed at cultural practitioners and mediators, cultural educators and cultural geragogues, staff in cultural, elderly care, and educational institutions, geriatric nurses, social and educational organizations, as well as municipal cultural actors. Projects are funded that actively involve older people (with and without (age-related) limitations) in art and cultural processes, reduce barriers, enable intergenerational encounters, and reach groups that have been little considered until now.
