Land Burgenland

The Family Department of the State of Burgenland is part of the Office of the Burgenland State Government and serves as the central contact point for families in Burgenland. It develops, coordinates, and operates a variety of funding programs such as the Child Bonus, School Start Allowance, Multiple Births Support, Burgenland Family Card, and Daycare Provider Support. Additionally, it offers information and counseling services (FamilyWeb, family counseling centers) as well as document folders, and organizes projects and events to strengthen the compatibility of family and work, social participation, and quality of life for all family forms.

Burgenland is a family-oriented region and aims to provide equal opportunities for all citizens. Our mission is to create the best possible framework conditions for families, ensure their quality of life, and promote harmonious coexistence among all generations. We believe that families are the foundation of our society and are committed to supporting and accompanying them in their diversity.

Our funding and advisory services are aimed at all families with their main residence in Burgenland – including traditional nuclear families, single parents, large families, rainbow and patchwork families, as well as grandparents who wish to use the Burgenland Family Card together with their grandchildren. In addition, clubs, municipalities, and non-profit organizations can apply for funding for family-related projects. The goal is to provide tailored support for various life situations and generations.
