About the funder
The State Youth Department within the Office of the Burgenland State Government, Division 9 – EU, Society and Funding Affairs, is the central contact point for all youth policy matters in Burgenland. It develops and manages funding programs aimed at young people, youth organizations, and regional stakeholders. These include project and investment grants, international exchange programs (such as Interrail or EU school trips), cultural and leisure initiatives, as well as mobile youth information centers. The goal is to open up opportunities for young people and support them in their personal and political development.

Mission & Vision
We are committed to actively shaping the living environment of young people in Burgenland and promoting their participation at all levels. Through needs-based funding programs, comprehensive information services, and collaboration with schools, municipalities, and youth organizations, we aim to create opportunities to develop talents and strengthen participation.
Target groups
Funding is provided for adolescents and young adults ranging from students in the 9th grade up to the age of 30, who live in Burgenland or implement projects here. Also addressed are youth organizations, municipal youth coordinators, youth workers, as well as multiplier institutions that offer extracurricular educational and recreational activities for young people. Furthermore, schools, youth centers, and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, and political participation of youth benefit from this support.
