Landesamt für Straßenbau und Verkehr (LASuV)

The State Office for Road Construction and Transport (LASuV) is the central specialist authority of the Free State of Saxony responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and administration of the state and federal road network. With its headquarters in Dresden and five regional branches, LASuV connects districts, independent cities, and municipalities to ensure a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly transport infrastructure. Core tasks include, in addition to conventional road and bridge construction, the promotion of municipal construction authorities, the development of the cycling network, the operation and expansion of public transport, as well as the monitoring of traffic regulations.

The LASuV sees itself as a citizen-oriented and transparent service provider that promotes sustainable, safe, and future-oriented mobility in Saxony through economical management and cooperative collaboration with municipalities, engineering firms, and transport companies. Our commitment is to actively shape the transformation of mobility habits, maintain the efficiency of transport routes, and support environmental and climate objectives.

The funding and service offerings of LASuV are aimed at municipal authorities (districts, independent cities, municipalities), transport companies, engineering and planning offices, as well as citizens. In particular, municipal construction authorities and project managers benefit from grants for road, bridge, and cycle path construction projects, as well as from advisory and approval procedures in the transport sector.
