Mission & Vision
The mission of the LAFVE Foundation is to enable young people from Latin America, who lack sufficient resources due to their social environment, to receive a qualified vocational education with a technical focus in Germany. Taking into account potential, prior education, and career aspirations, LAFVE supports the acquisition of a German vocational or university certificate to empower the scholarship recipients to apply the qualifications obtained in Germany upon their return to their home country for the benefit of society, the economy, and their families, thereby creating sustainable connections between both regions.
Target groups
The LAFVE funding programs are aimed at adult youths and young adults from Latin America who have successfully completed their schooling (at least an intermediate school leaving certificate), demonstrate German language skills at a minimum B1 level, and aspire to pursue a technical vocational training in Germany. Eligibility requires financial need due to the social environment, as well as motivation, personal maturity, and the willingness to return to the home country after completing the training to contribute to its economic and social development.
