MBG H Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Hessen mbH is a fund managed by BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH that has been providing capital to small and medium-sized enterprises in Hesse since 1971 in the form of typical silent partnerships. The goal is to strengthen the equity base of companies during founding, innovation, growth, and succession phases. With a program offering from EUR 5,000 to 1.5 million, MBGH supports growth and innovation projects, craft businesses, business successions, as well as micro-mezzanine participations for start-ups and specific target groups. Through long-term, partnership-based support, it assists Hessian companies in digitalization, sustainability, energy efficiency, and the implementation of ESG criteria.

Mission & Vision

MBG H sees itself as a competent and reliable partner of the Hessian SME sector. It supports small and medium-sized enterprises by providing equity or equity-like capital to strengthen innovation capacity, competitiveness, and sustainable growth in Hesse. In doing so, it places great importance on transparency, cooperative collaboration, and the consideration of social and ecological criteria.

Target groups

The funding programs of MBG H are aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the commercial sector in Hesse with an annual turnover of up to EUR 75 million (craft enterprises up to EUR 5 million). Support is provided to start-ups, young companies, established firms with innovation and growth projects, business successions, as well as specialized micro-mezzanine participations for founders from unemployment, women, persons with a migration background, non-profit, and environmentally oriented companies.
