About the funder

The Schütt Foundation is a non-profit, fiduciary foundation within the Donors' Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany, established in 2014 by the couple Ute Schütt and Dr. Helmut Risch, based in Berlin. With an endowment of approximately 2 million euros, it supports intergenerational projects in Germany. The foundation funds concepts that have proven effective in practice and can sustain themselves after initial funding. The funding volume per project amounts to up to 50,000 euros.

Mission & Vision

The Schütt Foundation connects individuals and organizations committed to dialogue and cohesion between generations. Its goal is to multiply proven multigenerational projects to strengthen their sustainability and to disseminate ideas with societal impact.

Target groups

Civil society initiatives, educational institutions, schools, non-profit organizations, and individuals in Germany are supported who implement projects that promote intergenerational encounters, develop fair and equitable generational contracts in social affairs, health, education, labor, and the economy, facilitate knowledge exchange between young and old, establish a new awareness of aging based on mutual respect, and disseminate concepts to strengthen social cohesion.
