About the funder
Section VI – Family and Youth at the Federal Chancellery of Austria is responsible for the development and implementation of Austrian family and youth policy. It provides comprehensive information on benefits such as family allowance, childcare allowance, and family hardship compensation, operates advisory and support services (e.g., family counseling, violence prevention, child protection), and promotes project-based initiatives that strengthen families at all stages of life and improve the living conditions of children and young people.

Mission & Vision
The Section for Family and Youth aims to optimally support families and young people in Austria by providing evidence-based frameworks, information and counseling services, as well as targeted funding programs, in order to improve their development opportunities and strengthen social cohesion.
Target groups
The target group includes families with children of all ages, single parents, children and adolescents, as well as organizations, associations, and professionals in family and youth services. Non-profit institutions and projects with nationwide or supraregional significance that contribute to protection, counseling, and prevention in the field of family and youth are supported.
