About the funder
Children for a better World e.V. is a donation-funded non-profit children's aid organization based in Munich. Since its founding in 1994 by personalities from business, culture, and politics, it has been committed to strengthening children and young people in their potential development. The focus areas are child poverty, promotion of civic engagement, and democracy education. Through transparent, impact-oriented actions and independent audits by certified public accountants, the organization clearly demonstrates how donations are used. For its work, CHILDREN has been honored with awards such as the PwC Transparency Award, the German Foundation Award, and the Integration Award.

Mission & Vision
Our goal is for all children and young people in Germany to start a self-determined life with equal opportunities and possibilities. We support strong children and young people who recognize their potential, seize opportunities, and actively advocate for their own interests as well as those of others.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at children affected by poverty as well as children and young people aged 6 to 21 who proactively engage in political, social, or ecological projects. Furthermore, participatory bodies such as the CHILDREN Children's Advisory Board provide children and young people with a platform to independently decide on funding allocations and experience democratic participation.
