About the funder

Since the year 2000, the Holthausen Foundation has existed as a church foundation under private law with an initial capital endowment of 700,000 DM (approximately €358,000), which today amounts to €540,000. It was founded by the former pastor Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kellermann and serves the long-term procurement of funds for the tax-privileged, charitable, ecclesiastical, and benevolent purposes of the United Evangelical Church Congregation in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The foundation primarily finances projects for children and youth work as well as diaconal services within the church congregation's area.

Mission & Vision

The Holthausen Foundation's mission is to secure financial resources through its endowment capital and incoming donations to sustainably strengthen the community life of the United Evangelical Parish of Mülheim an der Ruhr. Its focus is on supporting children, youth, and young adults, as well as diaconal projects, in order to put Christian charity into practice.

Target groups

Primarily, projects and programs for children, adolescents, and young adults of the Evangelical Church Congregation Holthausen are supported. Additionally, the foundation supports diaconal institutions and initiatives within the local area of the congregation to sustainably promote disadvantaged individuals and social initiatives.
