Stiftung Marienwerder
About the funder
The Stiftung Marienwerder was established in 2002 as a church-affiliated non-independent foundation to continue and expand the work of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Marienwerder. The initial capital amounted to €260,000 and has grown to approximately €1.25 million by 2024. Since the merger of the Marienwerder and Havelse parishes on January 1, 2025, it has operated under the name Stiftung Marienwerder-Havelse. The foundation board is formed by the church council of the parish, and there is also a curatorium as an additional foundation body.

Mission & Vision
The Marienwerder-Havelse Foundation has the medium- and long-term goal of securing personnel and parish pastoral care at the Marienwerder-Havelse location. In view of declining allocations from the regional church, the foundation's capital income is intended to contribute to the financing of a pastoral position and other pastoral care services. Furthermore, the foundation supports cultural, social, and community activities in the Marienwerder and Havelse districts.
Target groups
The foundation's funding activities are directed towards the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Marienwerder-Havelse and its local members. Support is provided particularly for securing a pastoral position, church events, cultural concerts, as well as projects and facilities in the districts of Marienwerder and Havelse. Additionally, the foundation addresses potential endowers and donors who wish to support church life in the long term.
