Stiftung Zukunft Jugend in Leverkusen

The Zukunft Jugend Foundation in Leverkusen was established in 2008 on the initiative of the city dean Msgr. Heinz-Peter Teller and several Catholic youth organizations. As a non-profit and charitable foundation, it supports disadvantaged children, adolescents, and young families in the city of Leverkusen, particularly where no public subsidies apply. The foundation finances, for example, holiday trips, purchases such as strollers or sports shoes, and promotes projects like language courses, extracurricular educational programs, holiday activities, and violence prevention programs. Its administrative costs are covered by affiliated organizations, and the allocation of funds is carried out unbureaucratically in accordance with the principles of proper accounting.

The Stiftung Zukunft Jugend in Leverkusen is committed to creating opportunities and prospects for disadvantaged young people and families in Leverkusen. It follows Christian values and the guiding principle, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Its goal is to improve the living conditions of young people and strengthen their participation in social life through financial support and the promotion of social projects.

Children, adolescents, and young families from Leverkusen who require special support due to their social, financial, or family circumstances are eligible for funding. The target group particularly includes those who cannot access public funding and need assistance with financing educational programs, recreational activities, and essential everyday purchases.
