Originally, it was named the "Caspar Ludwig Opländer Foundation," after the company founder. The foundation is the majority shareholder of the Wilo Group, a leading provider of pumps and pump systems. The Wilo-Foundation is committed to the fields of science, education, culture, sports, and social causes.
