Description
This funding measure pursuant to § 14 StPBG enables the full coverage of costs for long-term care and support in recognized nursing homes in Styria. From January 1, 2025, individuals in need of care and support with their main residence or actual stay in Styria will be considered, provided the requirements – in particular, entitlement to care allowance from level 4 or a corresponding claim for cost coverage – are met. As a direct funding amount, it covers all expenses for care and support and guarantees a funding rate of 100 percent. The unlimited duration offers applicants reliable planning security, while ongoing submission opportunities ensure seamless access to support.
Requirements for entitlement to the grant include the established need for care and support according to § 14 StPBG, the absence of suitable alternative services, and the inability to bear the care costs personally or through third parties. Additionally, proof of citizenship of an EEA state, Switzerland, or a valid residence permit or asylum status is required. Approval is based on the legal provisions of the Styrian Care and Support Act and requires proof of residence or place of stay in Styria. Applications can be submitted from January 1, 2025, onwards and may be submitted continuously, thereby guaranteeing continuous coverage at a high level of care.
