Departure coverage for apprentice and student dormitories

The funding measure of the state of Carinthia supports public providers of apprentice and student residences in covering the uncovered costs for accommodation and meals of trainees. The goal is to reduce the financial burden on Carinthian residences by granting an annual subsidy. The funding is exclusively aimed at public institutions in Carinthia that maintain apprentices and contributes to ensuring high-quality housing and meal provision within the training context. The allocation is made as a direct grant and is available indefinitely, with applications possible for the first time since 2014.

A prerequisite for the award is the timely submission of an accounting statement for the Carinthian residence audited by an external tax advisor, as well as compliance with the conditions of the deficit coverage agreement. Eligible expenses specifically include costs for the accommodation and meals of apprentices. A submitted annual financial statement serves as the basic document for processing. The accounting must be submitted by May 30 of each year to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 6 – Education and Sports. The review of all documents ensures transparent and comprehensible allocation of funds in favor of apprentice care in Carinthia.
