Description

AMIF-M 2.2 Promotion of Participation in the Education System in Vienna aims to strengthen children and young people with a different first language linguistically at an early stage while systematically informing their parents about the Austrian education system. In addition to institutional education, playful language learning and learning support offers in small groups are used to sustainably expand German language skills. An essential component is the accompanying parental work, which anchors educational science competencies through workshops and professional counseling and intensifies the partnership-based cooperation between school and family. In this way, school dropouts are to be reduced, the number of young people without training or employment (NEET) lowered, and educational success increased in the long term. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their children's school life, thereby improving the conditions for successful integration.

Projects by companies, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and other entities based in Vienna are eligible for funding. The funding rate amounts to 75% to 90% of the eligible total costs; minimum and maximum amounts are determined according to the provisions of Regulation 2021/1147. Submissions are accepted continuously within the framework of regular calls; there is no strict deadline, with the start of the current application round being 01.01.2025. A prerequisite is a complete, timely project outline with a clear target group description and measure allocation. The objective is equitable participation of all participants in the Austrian education system and the strengthening of social cohesion.
