Description
Employment Foundations serve as an effective instrument of the State of Salzburg to counteract the social and economic consequences of job loss. Based on company-initiated agreements – often within the framework of social plans during major staff reduction measures – labor market policy qualification measures are implemented. The focus is on new, advanced, and further qualifications, jointly financed by company contributions, the Public Employment Service (AMS), and the State of Salzburg. The aim of this initiative is the sustainable reintegration of unemployed individuals into the labor market by developing individual action plans accompanied by case management. The funding is provided as a grant, with a funding rate of up to 50 percent of the recognized costs, and also covers administrative costs for foundation management and consulting services.
Interested parties include companies in the State of Salzburg as well as unemployed individuals entitled to unemployment benefits who wish to voluntarily reorient and further qualify themselves. The prerequisites are the applicant’s residence in Salzburg, an existing entitlement to unemployment benefits, assessment of employability, and voluntary participation. Applications can be submitted at any time; an informal letter of inquiry suffices as an application document. Through the ongoing funding opportunity and the partnership-based financing approach, affected employees gain flexible and future-oriented support that strengthens the regional economic location and creates individual prospects for a return to working life.
