Description

The funding program Emission-Free Buses and Infrastructure (EBIN) in Vienna supports companies in converting existing bus fleets to non-fossil-powered drives and accompanies the development of the necessary charging or refueling infrastructure. Within the framework of this initiative, the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI) covers the processing costs incurred by the FFG as the managing agency. The funding is granted as a non-repayable grant, is limited to a maximum amount, and is provided from funds of the European Union – NextGenerationEU. Companies thus benefit from significant relief in administrative expenses and can advance their fleet modernization promptly.

Particularly interested are mobility providers who wish to operate their buses emission-free while simultaneously investing in future-proof infrastructure. Only the processing costs invoiced by the FFG are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted continuously from February 16, 2022, until the available volume is exhausted. This continuous procedure ensures flexible project planning and adapts to the needs of bus fleets of varying sizes. By covering the administrative costs, an important contribution is made to accelerating the mobility transition and actively supporting the achievement of the goals of the 2030 Mobility Master Plan in the Vienna region.
