Description

The training allowance for apprentices in Tyrol is aimed at all trainees with a valid apprenticeship or training contract in accordance with the Vocational Training Act, as well as their legal representatives. The living expenses during the entire apprenticeship period are supported with a monthly grant of €200. A prerequisite is an official residence or place of employment in Tyrol, as well as a household income that does not exceed the upper limit specified in the funding guidelines. For the application, proof of already granted support from other sources, a household confirmation from the municipality of residence, and a copy of the apprenticeship contract or training certificate must be submitted. Initial applications must be submitted electronically no later than three months after the start of the training, and follow-up applications no later than one month after the beginning of each subsequent year.

With this allowance, the State of Tyrol aims to strengthen the professional qualifications of young workers, maintain the workforce, and sustainably promote the development of skilled labor. By financially compensating living expenses, apprentices are motivated to successfully complete their training and remain active in the region in the long term. The funding is designed as a non-repayable grant and is valid until December 31, 2029. Thus, it makes an important contribution to reducing unemployment and securing skilled personnel in Tyrol.
