Description
Under the initiative "Barrier-Free Workplace Adaptation for Companies," Viennese businesses receive financial support to sustainably adapt workplaces to the needs of employees with disabilities. The goal is to secure existing employment relationships or enable new employment opportunities by providing technical work aids and training. The funding is provided in the form of a grant and is available indefinitely. Applications can be submitted at any time since January 1, 2022, ensuring flexible and time-independent submission.
Expenses for modern technical work aids – such as specialized devices or software – as well as related training costs to guarantee safe and effective use are eligible for funding. Companies must comply with the general principles and funding requirements of the Ministry of Social Affairs according to the guidelines on "Vocational Participation." The earmarked grants contribute to the barrier-free design of workplaces and promote an inclusive working environment. This measure contributes to the comprehensive social participation of people with disabilities and strengthens the competitiveness of companies in Vienna.
