Description

The continuing education scholarship for agricultural and forestry professions in Baden-Württemberg is aimed at young professional talents who wish to deepen their technical and interdisciplinary qualifications. Over a period of up to 36 months, funding measures totaling up to €9,135 can be supported. Both specialized courses, seminars, and certificates as well as, under certain conditions, part-time studies can be funded. The grant covers 90% of the incurred costs; the personal contribution amounts to only 10% per measure. Applications can be submitted continuously to the Karlsruhe Regional Council, enabling flexible planning and implementation of individual continuing education goals.

Eligible for funding are graduates of a dual vocational training program in agriculture or forestry who are under 25 years old at the time of application. Proof includes a final exam average grade of 1.9 or better, a placement among the top three ranks in a supraregional performance competition, or a recommendation from the training company or vocational school. The application requires, among other documents, the master record issued by the chamber as well as a copy of the final certificate. Through targeted support, young professionals are strengthened to meet the challenges of modern agriculture and forestry with solid expertise and to assume responsible tasks in rural areas in the long term.
