Description
In Upper Austria, a permanent grant scheme is directed at elected representative bodies in facilities for disability support and assists them in fulfilling their duties. Regularly incurred expenses such as office supplies, supervision, training, travel costs, external consulting services, as well as refreshments during meetings, are funded. The program has been available since October 24, 2013, and can be continuously applied for by interest groups or other associations. The financial support aims to establish professional structures and strengthen the work of the representative bodies so that the concerns of residents are effectively represented. This is intended to create sustainable framework conditions that promote qualified participation and co-determination on an equal footing.
Eligible to apply are registered and elected bodies of resident representation who exercise their mandates according to a written agreement with the provider. The funding is provided as a direct grant; a completed and signed application form, detailed proof of expenditure in the form of an accounting statement, and – where applicable – original invoices and original payment receipts must be submitted. Through this relief, representative bodies can independently organize their consultation and decision-making processes and utilize additional qualification opportunities. The funds contribute to sustainably advancing inclusion and participation in social facilities and making the commitment to people with disabilities visible. Monitoring is conducted based on the submitted documents and may be supported by supplementary on-site inspections.
