Description
Within the framework of the Contributions to Health Promotion and Prevention Measures, health-related projects and programs in Styria are supported that are specifically aimed at implementing the Styrian Health Goals. Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations, companies, cooperatives, foundations, interest groups, other associations, public institutions, as well as private individuals. Funding is provided as a one-time or continuous grant covering 100% of eligible costs, including personnel expenses, material costs, evaluation, and overhead. Annual applications can be submitted from September 1 for the following funding year; the application must be submitted at least three months before the project start date. For individual workshops or lectures not integrated into a larger project, the maximum funding is up to €5,000. For a funding volume of €30,000 or more, an annual financial statement must be attached.
The aim of the program is the sustainable maintenance and improvement of the health of the Styrian population through preventive and health-promoting measures. The focus is particularly on socially disadvantaged groups such as the elderly, children and adolescents, single parents, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals. Projects are supported across various life environments – from municipalities to educational institutions to workplaces – that combine innovation, sustainability, and health equity. Evaluation is based on the degree of innovation, sustainability aspects, relevance to target groups, equity, and strict alignment with the Styrian Health Goals. A project duration of up to 12 months allows for comprehensive implementation and evaluation. Detailed funding requirements and documents must be provided in accordance with the funding guidelines to maximize the chances of successful support.
