Description
The Youth and Family Foundation of the State of Berlin annually supports up to ten artistic and cultural family projects in the capital, thereby strengthening the sense of community among different generations and social groups. Non-profit organizations can apply for funding of up to €5,000 if, within the framework of the initiative, families with children engage in creative activities together, experience cultural offerings, and spend time together. Particularly welcome are original concepts that advance family work in unusual and inclusive ways and actively involve households that have previously been difficult to reach. Implementation must take place in Berlin and preferably include low-cost or free event formats.
Eligible costs include, among others, personnel expenses, material and supply costs, project-related acquisitions, as well as public relations, advertising, and administrative expenses. Ideally, collaborations with family centers, family service offices, local cultural creators, or cultural institutions will be established. Eligible to apply are non-profit, non-governmental organizations that are responsible to the foundation for proper implementation and accounting. The application must include a completed form, a detailed project description, and a comprehensive cost and financing plan. The submission period runs from October 2 to November 16, 2025, with project commencement possible from March 2026. This funding aims to creatively enrich family work and sustainably strengthen cultural participation in Berlin.
