Description
The educational funding of the State of Carinthia supports job-specific qualification and further training measures in Carinthia within the framework of the Carinthian Employee and Further Training Promotion Act. Participants can receive subsidies ranging from 50% to 75% of the course and examination fees, with apprentices as well as re-entrants up to three years after parental leave receiving special support. Within the funding period of five years, the maximum funding amount per individual is €2,500. Eligible expenses include course costs and examination fees starting from a minimum amount of €50. Thus, the funding is specifically aimed at all citizens with professional further training needs and those who wish to further develop their qualifications for the labor market.
A prerequisite for approval is a taxable annual income below €28,000 (plus €1,000 per dependent child or single earner allowance) and a minimum scope of 20 teaching units (each at least 45 minutes). Courses must be offered by an educational provider recognized by the State of Carinthia. Applications can be submitted at the earliest at the start and during the measure, as well as up to six months after completion. Required documents include, among others, the annual wage slip (item 245) or a salary certificate, an income tax assessment (no older than two years), the registration confirmation for the course or examination, and, if applicable, proof of parental leave.
