Description
The Cyber!Secure funding initiative supports micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Styria in specifically enhancing their IT security. The focus is on risk analyses, external consulting, training, as well as investments in hardware and software. Measures to raise awareness and sensitize employees are also funded. The grant amounts to up to 30% of eligible expenses, but no more than €15,000, with a minimum project volume of €5,000. This supports projects from the initial inventory to the implementation of modern security solutions. Funding can be applied for until June 30, 2027, and is provided as a direct subsidy. By combining consulting, qualification, and technical upgrades, sustainable improvements to the IT infrastructure are enabled and potential vulnerabilities are eliminated at an early stage. The funding makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the digital resilience of Styrian SMEs against cyber threats.
Eligible for funding are companies within the meaning of Recommendation 2003/361/EC, which have their headquarters in Styria and do not themselves offer IT security services in the intended funding area. A prerequisite is the submission of the application before the project begins, as well as the integration of a risk analysis and awareness-raising measures into the project. Eligible costs include external consulting and training expenses, investments in hardware and software, as well as accompanying awareness-raising measures. For application submission, a project description, proof of use (invoices, bank statements), and the documents required according to the SFG guideline must be provided. Online submission is made via the portal of the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG). The measure contributes to minimizing digital risks, avoiding data loss, and securing competitiveness in the long term.
