Description
The individual case assistance of the Salzburg Children and Youth Advocacy offers rapid and unbureaucratic immediate aid in the Salzburg region in the form of a grant for socially disadvantaged children and adolescents, as soon as there is no legal entitlement to adequate support services, personal contributions are unreasonable, and financing through social-charitable organizations is not possible. Since the beginning of the open-ended funding period in January 2014, private applicants can claim expenses such as transportation costs (e.g., train tickets for minor asylum seekers), hygiene articles during short-term hospital stays, or other necessary expenses. This strengthens equal opportunities and enables quick financial relief in acute emergency situations.
A prerequisite for approval is a personal consultation contact at the Children and Youth Advocacy as well as proof that all other support options have been exhausted and personal contributions appear unreasonable. All credibly submitted receipts for the stated cases of need are accepted as proof. Consultation appointments are scheduled during the opening hours of the responsible department at the Office of the Salzburg State Government, Division for Child and Youth Welfare. Through the straightforward application process and the required proof of use, it is ensured that the funding objective – unbureaucratic, needs-based assistance – is consistently implemented and that needy minors in Salzburg can be helped quickly.
