Description
The state funding program "Electric Minibuses and Light Electric Commercial Vehicles" enables companies, interest groups, associations, public institutions, and non-profit organizations in Vorarlberg to reduce climate-relevant emissions in the commercial mobility sector. The acquisition of new electric minibuses (class M1 > 2.0 to < 3.5 t) and light electric commercial vehicles (class N1 > 2.0 to < 3.5 t) is supported with a subsidy of 30% of the purchase costs, up to a maximum of €3,000 per vehicle. Requirements include location, area of operation, and registration in Vorarlberg, operation with green electricity from renewable sources, first registration no longer than six months before purchase, and vehicle labeling with the program sticker. Leasing vehicles are eligible for funding provided a deposit payment of €2,000 (class up to 2.5 t) or €3,000 (class up to 3.5 t) is demonstrated. Up to four vehicles per applicant can be submitted annually; combination with federal funding is possible.
Applications can be submitted continuously before the start of the project and are possible without time limitation. For disbursement, copies of invoices, proof of payment, and the registration certificate must be submitted. The subsidy is granted as a non-repayable cash grant and is based on net costs for applicants entitled to input tax deduction or gross costs for institutions not entitled to input tax deduction. With this initiative, the State of Vorarlberg actively contributes to energy efficiency and climate protection and creates incentives for a green mobility transition.
