Description

The European Social Fund ESF+ supports the establishment of innovative women's career centers (youngFBZ) in Upper Austria within the framework of Priority 1 (compatibility and equality of women and men). Young women aged 18 to 25 – particularly those with a migration background, asylum seekers, and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection – receive tailored counseling and support services for career orientation. The focus is on future-oriented fields of activity such as STEM, crafts, and green jobs. Through individual qualification measures and sector-specific initiatives, technical and ecological skills are imparted to open up sustainable career prospects. A special emphasis is placed on a diversity approach in counseling that takes into account migration-, culture-, and gender-specific experiences and reduces structural barriers.

Non-profit organizations and public institutions in Upper Austria are eligible for funding. These are non-repayable grants covering up to 100% of eligible expenses – including personnel, material, travel, and training costs. Real estate acquisitions, retroactive costs, and debt settlements are not funded. Applications are accepted continuously from September 1, 2024, within the framework of an ESF+ call; funding decisions are based on innovation content, diversity approach, target group relevance, sustainability, and cost efficiency. Required documents include project description, financing plan, organizational profile, proof of counseling experience, project management CV, and ESF eligibility. Funds are available until the budget is exhausted and enable a pioneering initial career path for young women in technical, craft, and green professions.
