Description
ESF+ 2021 – 2027: Implementation Priority 3, Metal Training Centers in Upper Austria
Within the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF+), the state of Upper Austria has been supporting the establishment and expansion of modular metal training centers in Upper Austria since 01.01.2023. The goal is to improve the employment and integration opportunities of disadvantaged individuals who are assigned via the Upper Austrian Public Employment Service. In a flexible, module-based system, participants acquire metalworking technical skills and personal key qualifications to enable sustainable labor market integration. Beneficiaries are educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and public entities, which receive 100% grant support. Ongoing calls ensure continuous application submission until the total budget is exhausted.
Funding Concept and Application Modalities
Personnel costs, material and equipment expenses, as well as travel costs are eligible for funding. Real estate acquisitions, retroactive expenses, and debt repayments are excluded. Beneficiaries prepare a project description, a financing plan, proof of AMS assignment, trainers’ CVs, and cost estimates in a single application. Submission—informal and digital—is made based on regularly published calls until the budget is depleted. The professional evaluation follows the criteria of relevance to the target group, sustainability of the training concept, degree of innovation, and project implementation quality. The program thus makes a sustainable contribution to active inclusion and social cohesion in Upper Austria.
