Description
The ESF+ program for Vorarlberg promotes professional qualification as well as the sustainable integration of refugees entitled to remain into the regular labor market. The focus is on a combination of language acquisition (German courses at A1/A2 level) and practical activity: either direct placement in companies takes place, or participants enter a socio-economic company transit employment relationship for up to 12 months. They benefit from individual socio-pedagogical support and assistance with childcare. The target group consists of asylum beneficiaries, subsidiarily protected persons, and displaced persons (especially from Ukraine) aged 25 to 45 with limited German language skills. Applicants from companies, interest groups, non-profit organizations, or public institutions based in Vorarlberg can continuously apply for funding in the form of grants.
The project duration is a maximum of 12 months. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, German course fees, socio-pedagogical support, material and coaching costs, as well as childcare. Real estate acquisitions and retrospective costs are not eligible. A minimum score in the evaluation grid, submission of the application via IDEA, and at least 20% revenue from economic activity are prerequisites. Evaluation criteria include price-performance ratio, quality of concept, qualification and experience of personnel, diversity experience, target group experience, regional networking, and ESF experience. Required documents are project description, financing and schedule plan, proof of own funds, evaluation grid concept, and IDEA confirmation. Applications are possible until the budget is exhausted.
