ESF – Training Program North Rhine-Westphalia

The ESF Training Program North Rhine-Westphalia supports certified educational providers in acquiring training positions and in the targeted matching of applicants and companies. In a preliminary preparatory phase, structures are established to acquire training positions and to bring together suitable trainees and businesses. In this way, the program contributes to securing skilled labor and sustainably increases the opportunities for young people in the labor market. Funding is provided as a grant without fixed deadlines; applications can be submitted at any time before the start of the measure. The financial support aims to reduce the effort and costs for consulting and acquisition while simultaneously strengthening the training offerings in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Eligible to apply are educational institutions certified according to AZAV, which align their concept with the aforementioned objectives. Before implementing the measure, a formal application procedure must be completed with the responsible district government – usually Arnsberg, Detmold, Düsseldorf, Cologne, or Münster. The funding guidelines and ancillary provisions, such as those regarding flat-rate costs and documentation, form the basis for approval. Applicants are advised to involve or consult regional agencies or the G.I.B. at an early stage to efficiently evaluate innovative approaches and individually plan the funding process. The transparent and sustainable implementation ensures that SMEs offer attractive training positions and motivated trainees are matched precisely.
