Description
ESF-Plus Model Program "Giving Advice – Yes to Vocational Training!" supports multipliers nationwide who act as close reference persons for young people with a migration background. Sponsors such as educational institutions, public bodies, or companies offer parents and relatives, social workers, teachers, as well as club members low-threshold information, counseling, and training services. The goal is to reduce barriers in the transition from school to vocational training and to strengthen the participants' role in a supportive manner. In parallel, a networking project brings together the involved initiatives, promotes the exchange of experiences through workshops and events, and develops practice-oriented working materials. Thus, a learning network is created that is continuously adapted and further developed.
Funding is provided as a grant with a funding rate of 40% to 90% of eligible expenses, depending on the ESF-Plus target region, and covers a project duration of 36 to 42 months. Extension applications are possible until 28.11.2025. Eligible to apply are legal entities under private and public law as well as legally capable partnerships that comply with the ESF-Plus funding principles 2021–2027, demonstrate professional-content and administrative competence, and coordinate existing funding structures. Projects that belong to mandatory tasks or are already financed by law are not eligible for funding. National co-financing of at least 10% of the eligible total expenses can be provided through own and third-party funds to sustainably strengthen the social inclusion of young people with a migration background.
