Description

The European Innovation Partnership "Productivity and Sustainability in Agriculture" (EIP-AGRI) in Baden-Württemberg promotes project-based cooperation between science, agricultural enterprises, and other innovation actors. The goal is to rapidly transfer practice-relevant ideas into agricultural practice and to intensify the exchange of knowledge between theory and practice. Legally capable Operational Groups consisting of at least two partners with headquarters or branches in Baden-Württemberg may submit applications at any time. A valid cooperation agreement and the implementation of a new innovation project involving, in addition to research institutions, also companies or other innovators are required. By networking experts and practitioners, the use of efficient and sustainable methods is to be promoted and innovation processes accelerated.

The funding is granted as a non-repayable grant and covers up to 100 percent of the ongoing costs of collaboration and project implementation as well as 65 percent of investment costs. Applicants benefit from continuous submission opportunities without fixed deadlines, enabling flexible project planning. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material usage, services, and investments directly benefiting the innovation project. With a funding rate of 65 to 100 percent, the state of Baden-Württemberg supports companies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations in establishing sustainable solutions in agriculture, thereby strengthening the competitiveness and environmental compatibility of the agricultural sector in the long term.
