Family, Partner, and Youth Counseling of the State of Carinthia

Family, Partner, and Youth Counseling of the State of Carinthia ensures free, anonymous, and confidential counseling throughout the entire state for children, adolescents, partners, and families. The goal is a comprehensive coverage of support services involving physicians, psychologists, lawyers, and certified social workers. From January 1, 2025, recognized counselors will be provided with permanent subsidies to guarantee low-threshold and high-quality counseling services. With this support, the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 4 – Family Promotion, Child Protection, Child and Youth Welfare – places a clear emphasis on the mental health and social stability of families and young people across the entire region.

Eligible for funding are recognized family counselors, psychologists, lawyers, and certified social workers who provide free, anonymous, and confidential counseling services in Carinthia. There are no formal access barriers, as a low-threshold offer is the basis of the funding. Applications may be submitted by private individuals acting as intermediaries; only the counseling services provided are eligible for funding. For quarterly disbursements, the following documentation must be submitted: attendance sheet, activity record, brief documentation, and invoice. Applications open on January 1, 2025, and are possible indefinitely. This initiative promotes the long-term assurance of professional counseling structures in Carinthia and enables prompt assistance to those seeking advice at a high professional standard.
