Description

The Austrian Integration Fund supports providers from associations, educational institutions, and interest groups in Vienna in organizing and conducting free German courses at levels A1 to C1. Eligible for funding are institutions that wish to provide linguistic support to asylum beneficiaries, subsidiary protection beneficiaries, displaced persons, and asylum seekers with a high likelihood of recognition. Funding applications can be submitted at any time from January 1, 2023, as long as the budget is not exhausted. The funding is provided as a 100% grant for the course services, which are offered to participants as in-kind benefits. This ensures barrier-free access to linguistic integration, which forms the basis for social and economic participation.

The funding objective is the sustainable strengthening of communication and integration skills of people with a refugee or migration background. Applicant institutions must demonstrate proper management and meet professional, economic, and organizational requirements. Required documents include proof of identity, proof of residence in Austria, registration certificates, and complete application documents. Through clear quality standards, standardized curricula, and the option of in-person and online formats, it is ensured that German learners receive optimal support. The unlimited deadline until the budget is exhausted allows for flexible program planning and rapid response to the educational needs of the target groups.
