Funding Measures of the St. Nicolai Community Foundation

Since 2002, the St. Nicolai Citizens' Foundation has supported projects of the Evangelical Lutheran St. Nicolai parish in Lüneburg and the church district, focusing on inclusion and disability work. Based in Lower Saxony, the foundation continuously awards grants of up to €5,000 per project year to non-profit organizations and public institutions. Funded measures include social work, child and youth work, culture, church music, as well as construction and furnishing projects within church spaces. Previous supported initiatives include inclusive holiday care, confirmation retreats, barrier-free choir offerings, cultural educational exhibitions, and technical upgrades in community rooms. Through this, the foundation significantly contributes to strengthening participation, promoting community, and enriching cultural offerings.

Applications may be submitted at any time, provided the activities take place within the Evangelical Lutheran St. Nicolai parish or the Lüneburg church district. The decision on awarding funds lies with the foundation board and trustees, who regularly review submitted project proposals.
