Description

The program supports nonprofit and public organizations in Baden-Württemberg that strengthen outpatient services related to care and support. The focus is particularly on volunteer-organized care groups for people with dementia, home care services, family care and village assistance, as well as initiatives such as senior networks or care companions. Through grants, existing structures are expanded and new projects are supported to provide everyday relief for people in need of care and assistance and to alleviate the burden on relatives. Applications can be submitted year-round, with funding eligibility aimed at providers of independent welfare services, churches and religious communities under public law, nonprofit nursing associations, as well as municipal authorities.

This supports a wide range of assistance services in the context and environment of care. Outpatient services, church institutions, and other nonprofit organizations can, for example, operate care groups for people with dementia or train volunteer everyday companions. The goal is to mobilize civic engagement for a vibrant social cohesion and to strengthen the participation of those in need of care and assistance. The ongoing funding opportunity allows for flexible project planning and responds to changing needs in rural and urban areas. In this way, everyday care and neighborhood assistance are sustainably networked, significantly improving the quality of life for those affected.
