Funding of the DGS Foundation (Project Funding)

The DGS Foundation continuously supports non-profit initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia, particularly those assisting young people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities as well as seniors in need of care. With a focus on Salzkotten and the surrounding area, projects in the fields of social affairs, education, research & innovation, environmental and nature conservation, sports, culture, as well as vocational training and further education are funded. Carriers such as non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public bodies have the opportunity to submit an application for financial support at any time. In addition to non-profit status, a demonstrable regional connection to the Foundation’s location is a prerequisite. The DGS Foundation aims to strengthen social cohesion and achieve sustainable impacts by specifically allocating resources for inclusive housing, integrative care projects, and intergenerational offerings.

The application must include a detailed project description with the purpose of the grant, a brief concept, and a completed application form from the applicant. Funding is granted on an ongoing basis and depends on how precisely the project addresses the needs of people in challenging life situations. Through this support, inclusive housing options such as “Pohlmeyers Hof,” intensively supervised living groups for young people with disabilities, and warm senior groups receive financial assistance. In doing so, the DGS Foundation contributes to a solidarity-based community that sustainably improves equal opportunities, participation, and quality of life for all involved.
