Eligible applicants include condominium owners' associations, freelancers, private individuals, companies, and municipal, public, or non-profit institutions. Funded are planning services, metering and communication units, house and apartment connections, as well as material and labor costs, such as for thicker cables and meter cabinets. Installation may only be commissioned after receipt of the funding approval, and the building must be at least five years old at the time of application. After positive evaluation and approval of the application, the renewal may proceed. Finally, the proper execution is documented in the usage report and the payment request is submitted. The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia offers a crucial component with this program to efficiently distribute solar power locally and thereby sustainably advance climate protection and energy efficiency.
