Description

The funding provided by the Evangelical Scouting Foundation supports evangelical scouts nationwide within the Association of Christian Scouts (VCP) in the sustainable development and expansion of local group work. The focus is on initiatives that would not be feasible without a grant, as well as projects in education, upbringing, and international understanding – for example, peace work, interreligious dialogue, and intercultural coexistence. The program contributes to strengthening child and youth work, democratic education, and social cohesion. Non-profit organizations at the local, district, regional, state, or federal level of the VCP thus receive tailored support for personnel and freelance costs, investments, and all other expenses directly related to the initiative.

Funding requirements and procedure: An informal written application including a description of the project as well as a detailed cost and financing plan must be submitted by January 31 or July 31 of each year. For decision-making, the foundation board obtains a statement from the responsible management level in advance. Projects that could not be carried out without the foundation’s assistance are particularly eligible for funding. Applicants commit to submitting a report of use and a report including photographic material six months after the completion of the funded measure. Upon positive review, the funds will be disbursed. Through this transparent procedure, the foundation makes a significant contribution to the expansion of evangelical scouting work as well as to a peaceful and open-minded coexistence.
