The Garcia Foundation La Vida is committed to charitable engagement in North Rhine-Westphalia, focusing on Cologne and the surrounding communities, and continuously supports projects in the fields of education, arts & culture, sports, and social affairs – including youth and elderly care as well as educational services. With the goal of achieving sustainable impact locally, initiatives that empower people in need of all ages and enable participation are supported. Founded by the Garcia Unterbusch family, the foundation places great value on personal project visits to directly experience implementation and impact. As a member of the Cologne Foundations Association and the German Foundations Association, it positions itself as a trusted partner for local engagement.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, foundations, educational institutions, and public entities with a focus of activity in Cologne and the surrounding area. Applications are accepted exclusively in digital form; postal submissions cannot be considered. A current tax exemption certificate from the tax office is a mandatory part of the application.
