Description

GLS Treuhand supports non-profit organizations active in Germany with project-related grants ranging from €1,000 to €5,000. The aim is to strengthen a democratic, sustainable, and solidaristic society through initiatives in the fields of social affairs, education, child and youth welfare, engagement for social cohesion, health, development cooperation, culture, media, music, environmental/nature conservation, agriculture, energy efficiency, and climate protection. Funded projects are evaluated based on their contribution to self-efficacy, their innovative strength, and their alignment with the core values of GLS Treuhand. Scholarship projects may, in exceptional cases, also be submitted by private individuals. Construction and hardware measures, general operating resources, and real estate furnishings are excluded. Applications can be submitted digitally at any time and are assessed by the interdisciplinary committee of GLS Treuhand and its managed foundation funds.

The following documents are required for the application: completed digital application form, signed confirmation with data protection declaration, financing and cost plan, valid statutes (PDF), current association or commercial register excerpt, certificate of non-profit status, and, if applicable, annual financial statements or other evidence. In addition to societal added value, sustainability, commitment of the project group, cooperation with other funders, and compliance with ecological, social, and ethical standards are also evaluated. There is no legal entitlement to funding; decisions are usually made within six to twelve weeks. The digital application submission enables efficient processing without postal effort and ensures that project ideas can be submitted flexibly at any time.
