Description

Youth Recreation Funding in Baden-Württemberg supports non-profit organizations as well as public institutions that plan extracurricular recreational activities for children and adolescents. The focus is on participants from financially disadvantaged families and the involvement of educational supervisors. Funding is provided for group recreational stays with appropriate supervision, granting a fixed amount of €25 per person per day. Applications can be submitted by recognized providers of extracurricular youth work in accordance with § 45 SGB VIII in conjunction with §§ 2, 4, and 12 JGB, as well as other providers subject to the state budget provisions. The funding priority lies in promoting social participation opportunities and alleviating the burden on families with limited financial means.

For application submission, the forms A21-1, A21, A22-1, A22, and SAV2 must be used. These consolidate individual applications from the final recipients into collective applications to the responsible regional administrative authorities. The annual deadline for receipt by the granting authorities is April 1st. The basis for funding is the Youth Education Act (JBiG BW) in conjunction with the administrative regulations on child and youth recreation. Interested professionals and volunteers thereby gain planning security for their programs, benefit from clearly defined funding guidelines, and ensure valuable recreational time in well-supervised groups for children and adolescents from lower-income households.
